The Dery Piggott Knowles it all Trio with Lisa Dery, Bill Piggott and Richard Knowles According to Hollywood... I have experienced each of the three members of this band individually on many occasions, either at Wreck Beach or through inter-connected friends and other social events or professional gigs they played. Finally, I had the privilege of witnessing the tight and colorful sounds of The Dery Piggott Knowles it all Trio itself, at the Made in Vancouver Festival during the 2010 Games. Lisa definitely brings the stage alive with her bright, beautiful energy and rich vocals. Bill is a genius on the piano and Richard quietly and masterfully brings it all together by adding a tangible fullness to the great sounds this threesome creates. Seek them out and share some wonderful chill time, as they can often be seen playing local establishments in Vancouver. |

A bit about the Trio... Formed in the fall of 2008 for a dinner gig, The Dery Piggott Knowles it all Trio have been happily playing together ever since, cause when it works, it works! The Trio brings together a love of music, performance and humour, playing in restaurants, clubs and private parties for your entertainment. A bit about the Trio's other band... Originally hired for a lively wedding reception in 2009, the Audiobandits have been rocking out fundraisers, public performances and birthday parties, as well as keeping local venues hopping with some terrific dance music year round!

Band Member Biographies... LISA DERY...Vocalist has been singing the Sound of Music songs since the age of 8 and in love with Ella Fitzgerald since the age of 18. Lisa pursued a lifelong dream of music and performance by first studying jazz at our own Vancouver Community College, then musical theatre in New York City at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. She has attained further acting,voice and movement training with various teachers in terrific programs throughout North America, including a National Voice Intensive taught at UBC.
After fronting bands, creating
cabaret-style shows and starring in both
BILL PIGGOTT...Pianist
has always been
interested in music, back as far as he can remember. Growing up
with a family piano and figuring out how to play "Brahms
Lullaby" by ear for his father at the ripe old age of five, Bill
earned the attention of his parents and began his musical
journey with piano lessons soon after that. Choosing the French
horn in high school, Bill later went on to receive a bachelor of
music education from the University of Saskatchewan. Inspired by
the rich jazz harmonies and complex improvisation of Oscar
Peterson and Bill Evans, he pursued further music studies at
Humber College and VCC. RICHARD KNOWLES...Guitarist is considered an accomplished and respected guitarist, composer, producer and engineer from Vancouver, British Columbia. He studied composition, world music and synthesizers and sound production at the University of Guelph. Richard's CD "Rain" (2004) with his band, Point Two, has been well received and many of his songs have made it onto radio jazz fusion stations across the USA. His work with drummer Cheo (Earth, Wind and Fire, Kool and The Gang and Mandrill) helped elevate him into view as an international level composer and guitarist in jazz-rock fusion. His work encompasses a new jazz-rock fusion CD which is in the works and jhe is also a session guitarist for local artists. He also has fun playing/singing rock, R&B, pop and funk music in the Trio's other cover band, Audio Bandits. Acknowledgments...
