His many public "art benches," which he hand-carves in yellow cedar in a monumental style, are well known in the Vancouver area. His photographs are widely collected and have appeared in magazines in Canada and Europe. He has also published a good amount of photojournalism and spent a year as an assistant editor at Maclean-Hunter, Toronto.
